Unfortunately, our speaker has gone down with Covid and will not be able to attend the AGM on Saturday. With the short time available we are not able to arrange a replacement. This means that the business on the day will be restricted to the AGM itself and two resolutions that we have received from the Affiliated Societies.
We have given very careful consideration as to whether we should hold the meeting in-person and the consensus of opinion of the Committee is that some members are keen for the meeting to go ahead and it is a matter for individual members to decide whether they want to take the risk of attending the meeting with the current Covid situation as it is. Therefore there will be a presence at Newark on Saturday but there are also facilities for members to join the meeting via Zoom.
We would encourage those members who are nervous about attending the meeting to take up the Zoom option. Would those members who wish to attend the meeting via Zoom please give Rachel their contact details by 4.00pm Friday afternoon.
