The Anglo Nubian Breed Society suggest that “due to the demise of many of the affiliated societies, the BGS should consider accepting registrations from non members at an appropriate rate” The ANBS believe this would encourage the many people who at the moment feel their goats are somewhat inferior and that their animals are unfit to be registered. They tend to perceive the BGS as an exclusive and elitist society to which they cannot aspire.
Were this proposal to be adopted we feel it would help in future to fuel a resurgence in BGS membership.
