Hello!
I am Saila Ruuhinen from Finland. This spring I will graduate an agrologist (Bachelor of Natural Resources and the Environment). Next summer I would love to work in either to Ireland or Great Britain. I would like to find a goat farm that is modern and has farmers with agricultural education. I am also interested in research work.
I would like to learn more about goat farming because I want to develop my knowledge about an effective goat farming so I could help Finland to bring goat farming to the next level. I did my thesis about developing goat milk recording in Finland.
Last summer I worked at a goat farm in Norway (2 months). There were 200 milking goats. My everyday job was to take care of the animals including milking, feeding and keeping an eye on the goats. I have driven a tractor and done some field work and I really like it. I could work from mid-May until the end of August.
Could British Goat Society help me with my cause? Would you know a farm which is looking for paid employee? Or a website etc. where I could find possibilities to my cause?
