The Northumbrian Dairy Goat Society

The Northumbrian Dairy Goat Society proposes that, “subject to a satisfactory cost benefit analysis, the BGS furthers its aims of circulating knowledge and general information upon goats and also of fulfilling its role as the focal point for all goatkeeping activities in the United Kingdom by:

  • digitising the paper-based British Goat Society Archive dating back to its foundation in 1879
  • storing the original paper-based archive with an appropriate and approved professional publicly accessible archive
  • promoting/selling/making available to all the digitised archive”.
